Every day is different in our Business Developer role. You may be travelling the world to exhibit at a trade show, be meeting with customers to learn about a project need, or working with colleagues to develop new engineering systems.

Osbit is a fast-paced place in a highly exciting industry. Our Business development team is at the frontline of the latest offshore industry developments, listening to the market’s needs, building relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver solutions.

A love of fast-paced work and embracing the unknown are important in this role, which offers opportunities to own what you do, while making a tangible difference to our sales pipeline and business growth.
Effective communication is also key, as you directly interface with Osbit’s sales and engineering teams, as well as engaging with our other business functions, customers, and suppliers.
Your responsibilities
  • Establish new client relationships, even in saturated and competitive markets by seeking engineering issues, challenges and opportunities and understanding and communicating Osbit’s differentiators in core technology areas.  
  • Deliver additional revenue from existing customers by seeking additional opportunities for innovative engineering and trying new approaches and displacing competitors. 
  • Contribute to a strategic sales plan and enthusiastically work towards KPIs. 
  • Secure contracts of various sizes, types and values through focussed, tenacious sales effort directed in the right areas. 
About you
  • Bright, energetic, articulate and results driven. 
  • Business development experience. 
  • A genuine passion for the offshore renewables industry and wanting to make a difference.  
  • Understand the renewable energy landscape, ideally with a well-developed network across renewables client organisations. 
  • Able to credibly communicate Osbit’s products and services to high profile organisations and contacts with a good level of technical understanding.  
  • Methodical and consistent in market assessment, approach, follow-up, and record keeping. 
  • Astute both commercially and technically. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft suite of programs.

  • This is a full-time role and will require the ability to travel for business (domestically and internationally).
